If you have already completed your open water and advanced course somewhere else and would like to upgrade your skills with Cairns‘ Premier Dive Training School then this is the course for you. During this course you will learn the necessary skills and gain the confidence to handle many situations that may occur while diving. The course consists of 1 day of pool and classroom training followed by a 3 day 2 night liveaboard trip where you will get up to 10 dives on a variety of spectacular outer reef locations. These dives consist of a combination of training and recreational dives.

Departure Times: Cairns 07:00am and Cairns Beaches 06:30am and returns at 16:30 and 17:00pm.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance payable on the first day of the course. Once receive your booking request and deposit and have confirmed the availability, your booking confirmation will be emailed to you shortly after (between 8am-6pm). We don't suggest waiting till you get here to book this dive course as you may not be able to enrol at short notice. Government reef tax, fuel levy & port charges of $60 per person are included in the prices in the rates table below.

More Information:

Throughout this course you will come to appreciate and understand the importance of this training relevant to diver safety and incident minimization and management.

Pre-requisite for this course is a PADI Advanced Open Water certificate or the equivalent rating with another training agency. You will also require a current First Aid certificate. A First Aid course can be arranged for you, if required, the day prior to your Rescue Diver course commencing for an additional charge of A$140.

Pick up times from your hotel:
Cairns: 6.30am
Cairns beaches: 6.00am

Return times:
Cairns beaches: 5.00pm
Cairns: 4.30pm

Pickup or Departure Point Details:
This tour includes a hotel pick up and drop off from your Cairns or Northern beaches accommodation.

Optional Extras:
Digital Underwater Camera's are available for hire at a cost of A$40 per dive.

What is not included:
Rescue Diver candidates are required to have a current First Aid certificate. If you don't already have a First Aid certificate we conduct PADI EFR (First Aid) training on the Saturday (the day prior to commencement) at a cost of A$140.00

Important Information
Insufficient dive qualifications and/or some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. Prior to diving, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding your diving qualifications, experience & current fitness to dive. Should you answer yes to any of the medical question asked you will be required to consult a doctor to acquire a written medical clearance to dive prior to your dive trip. If you are unsure about a specific medical condition please check with your doctor or with us prior to making your reservation.
Flying After Diving: We recommend that you do not fly for at least 24 hours after your last dive. Your last dive will be completed by midday on day 3 of your trip.

A 20% cancellation fee applies.
