Basic Itinerary:

Your morning tour begins before dawn with a pick up from your accommodation by a shuttle bus which will transfer you and fellow travellers to the Cairns Highlands township of Mareeba. At sunrise, you’ll float above the scenic countryside in a hot air balloon ride lasting thirty minutes before you came down to earth in time for a drive to the historic Freshwater Train Station where a beautiful breakfast awaits you, served by a host/ess in an historical antique air-conditioned railway carriage to give you your kick start of energy for the rest of the day.

After breakfast and a look around the station's museum, you will start of your scenic train ride up the mountain to the rainforest village of Kuranda. Along the way you will take in some breathtaking scenery and waterfalls and will arrive to Kuranda at about 11.15am. You’ll have about an hour to check out the village markets and perhaps a quick tour of the local butterfly sanctuary (at own cost) before hopping on to the famous Skyrail rainforest cable car back down the mountain to Cairns. You’ll glide along the tree tops and have two chances to stop along the way where there are some beautiful rainforest walks and valley lookout points. At around 1.30pm you will arrive to the final stop of the Skyrail and this is where you can have some lunch at the Skyrail café and get changed into your swim wear for white water rafting!

Just after 2pm, you will be taken by bus to the river at the bottom of the waterfall you’ll have just viewed from the Skyrail earlier for two hours of fun filled rafting on the grade three rapids of the Barron River. Grade three rapids are ideal for novices seeking a little bit of a thrill. You’ll bond, laugh and have fun in an awesome team building environment. At the end of the rafting tour, you will be taken by shuttle bus back to Cairns where a nice hot shower or bath will go down well.

Then, just when you thought you had done it all, it’s time to treat yourself with a four course buffet style dinner and welcome drink on board the luxury Cairns harbour dinner cruise. Live entertainment, the city lights and a great atmosphere on board will top off what will surely be one of the most memorable day’s in your life. Includes door to door transfers and drop off back to your accommodation at the end of the night.

9.45pm to Cairns

This tour includes door to door transfers from Cairns hotels.
This tour package is not available from Cairns beaches or Port Douglas.

Gold class seat upgrade on the Kuranda Scenic Train - $45 per person

What is not included:
Lunch - which can be purchased from the Skyrail Café in Caravonica. Drinks, which can be purchased in Kuranda village or on the dinner cruise.

·30 – 3 days prior to travel, a 25% cancellation fee applies
