This Cape Tribulation & Daintree tour's point of difference is that it includes time to explore and experience the "Daintree Rainforest Aerial Walkway & Canopy Tower". This award winning aerial walkway and tower allows people of all ages to access every part of the rainforest all the way from ground level all the way up to the rainforest canopy. You'll learn and observe the diversity of plants and wildlife living in this unique environment.
Departure Dates: Daily, except 25 December. Pick up from Cairns hotels starts at around 7am, northern beaches hotel pick ups are at around 7.30am and Port Douglas hotel pick ups are at around 8am. Returns to Port Douglas hotels at around 6pm, beaches hotels at around 6pm and Cairns hotels at around 7pm. Advance bookings are recommended.

Basic Itinerary and More Information about the tour:
Visit beautiful remote Cape Tribulation where your knowledgeable driver/guide will collect you from your accommodation and travel one of Australia's great scenic Highways before arriving at the Daintree River. Discover the unique wilderness area of the World Heritage listed rainforests of Cape Tribulation & the mysterious Mossman Gorge. This tour includes an early morning guided walk of Mossman Gorge (available till approximately late 2011 only), in the quieter morning environment, where you will experience this ancient rainforest firsthand, or instead (subject to river volume) enjoy a refreshing swim. Our experienced naturalist guide will provide interpretation of this ancient gorge, river and its rainforest.
Our Tour then has morning tea and lamingtons (an Australian cake) before cruising on the mighty Daintree River where an experienced river guide will reveal the special wildlife of the Daintree River, the domain of the estuarine crocodile. Tree snakes, pythons, water birds and butterflies are also inhabitants of the mangrovelined riverbanks. So have your camera ready!
We then cross the Daintree River by ferry barge (one of the remaining few in Australia) and continue on through the rainforest where glimpses of the Coral Sea are revealed. Your lunch is served on the new restaurant deck at Heritage Lodge, set over Coopers Creek with magnificent views of the surrounding rainforest, along with the many species of birds and butterflies, a truly serene experience.
After lunch we stroll along idyllic Cape Tribulation Beach to the Kulki lookout and observe where two of the world's natural wonders converge - the rainforest gives way to white sand and fringing coral reef!
The AWARD WINNING Daintree Rainforest Aerial Walkway and Canopy Tower allows people of all ages easy access to all parts of the rainforest. Our tours go up through the Daintree rainforest canopy allowing you to view the diversity of wildlife and plants that exist in this unique environment.
We then travel onto the Daintree Environmental Centre- Enjoy the ultimate rainforest tours experience - explore both the rainforest floor and make an easy ascent into the rainforest canopy to view World Heritage Listed Rainforests at their best at the Daintree Discovery Centre where an exclusive, private rainforest walk along all-weather boardwalks, and also at canopy, level where unsurpassable rainforest viewing may be experienced - a naturalist's paradise and photographer's dream!
Following afternoon tea we wind through the rainforest of the Alexandra Range, to enjoy this spectacular lookout over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea. We finally cross the Daintree River and depart the Daintree Valley and return you to your accommodation with wonderful memories of this unique and precious wilderness area.
