This locally owned and operated Cairns Highlands tour will take you to the best of the Cairns Higlands. This tour will show you one of famous volcanic crater lakes, "Lake Barrine", the Giant Curtain Fig Tree, Milla Milla Waterfalls, Paronella Park Spanish castle ruin, and the Babinda Boulders.

The guides are all naturalists who have been chosen for their specialty and expertise in eco tourism, the ecology and the habitats and behaviours of our unique wildlife. All are locals who have had many years experience with all the local attractions and have an extensive repertoire of local stories and history. Along with the tour guide's wealth of local and historical knowledge, they have a firm commitment to the comfort, fun, entertainment and enjoyment of the guests. This includes legends from the Aboriginal Dreamtime and stories of almost anything you want to know while on tour.

Departure Dates: Departs daily at around 8.00am from Cairns and Cairns Beaches hotels, except for 25 December. Returns by 6pm. Early bokings are stongly recommended.

This tour's point of difference is that it allows plenty of time to explore Paronella Park Spanish Castles and allows one hour to see and swim if you like at the Babinda Boulders.

The Atherton Tablelands are located around an hour and a half from Cairns and the climate is nearly always a few degrees cooler than that of Cairns and this tour is fine in all kinds of weather.

You will travel in small groups of no more than 24 people and there are regular stops to see interesting picture-worthy places. The tour guides pride themselves on their knowledge of the area and provide a fantastic informative day out. Take a towel and swimming costume if you would like a cool refreshing swim at the waterfall or crater lake. Booking Information

INFANTS: 3 years and younger travel free of charge but no seat or food is included. If a seat is required for an infant it can be secured for an additional fee of $30 payable to the driver. If there is a spare seat available on the day this fee will be waived. If a separate morning tea and lunch are required an extra fee of $11.50 is payable to the driver. (Alternatively, pies can be purchased for $5 at Paronella Park).

What to bring: Hat, walking shoes, swim wear, sunscreen, bottled water & jacket in cooler weather
