Then, get high with a 10 minute scenic helicopter ride from a floating helicopter pontoon before cruising back to Cairns. What better way to really experience the Great Barrier Reef than to cruise to it, fly above it, and then take a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkel and scuba dive amongst it!

Basic Itinerary/ More Information:
You cruise from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef, departing at 8.30am, visit two outer reef locations, snorkel and/or scuba dive at the first location and then snorkel and/or take a glass bottom boat coreal viewing tour, followed by a helicopter ride above the reef, and then a cruise back to Cairns by just after 5pm.
"Scooters" are now available on this cruise. The scooters are designed for snorkelers looking for a new and exciting experience on the reef. Moving at approx 8-10km/hr they make barely any noise and save the passenger’s energy levels, obviously resulting in a safe and pleasurable time in the ocean. The hire fee for the scooter is $25.00 per reef (1/2 day hire) which includes a slimline safety vest.
For Snorkellers; after a snorkel briefing on the cruise out to the reef you will each be given your mask snorkel and fins to use for the day.
For First Time Divers; after an in-depth briefing from our expert dive staff, we gear you up and jump in the water for the thrill of a lifetime as we guide you through this amazing wonderland.
For Certified Divers; either buddy up with a friend or join our guides as we push the limits and explore the amazing ecology of the reef.
You'll arrive at the first reef location at around 10am and you will have around two hours free time to snorkel or dive. After arriving at Hastings Reef at 1pm, youll be briefed then loaded onto one of our state of the art helicopters for an unforgettable flight around the reef. Turtles, sharks and even whales can be spotted from up high and you get a feel for the awesome size of this amazing natural wonder.
In the afternoon theres a choice of a ride on our glass bottom boat coral viewing tour "Reef Safari" tour, more snorkelling or diving, or just laze around on our massive sun-deck.
Finally cruise back to Cairns while enjoying the hilarious antics of ELVIS our on-board entertainer as he sings and performs his famous didgeridoo show.

Reef Fleet Terminal 1 Spence St Cairns. Extra costs for pick up and return to your accommodation in Cairns will be $10 per person or $15 per person for the Northern Beaches or $60 from Port Douglas hotels.

Regarding Scuba Diving:
Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and heart or lung conditions. Pregnancy is also a contraindication to diving.
