Cod Hole and Far Northern Great Barrier Reef - By the end of the first evening you will have travelled 150 km north of Cairns to the Cod Hole which is where your dive adventure begins. By trip's end, you will have experienced up to 10 quality scuba dives as you cruise back to Cairns. This trip is suitable for Novices to Advanced Divers - It appeals to a broad section of divers from beginners to mad keen photographers, and not to mention, snorkellers!

Departure dates: Embarks - Tuesday 4.30pm - Trinity Wharf Cairns. Includes a hotel transfer to the vessel from Cairns hotels. Disembarks - Friday 3pm- 4pm. – Trinity Wharf, Cairns. (courtesy city hotel transfers)

All fares include meals as per itinerary code: (B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch and (D) Dinner.

Tuesday (D)

The first evening you will travel overnight 150 km to the Code Hole. During this time passengers organize their dive gear or hire gear. There is also a brief period of introduction followed by paperwork and a briefing on the schedule for the next day. Dinner is served at approx 7:30pm with the rest of the evening free for relaxation.

Wednesday (B, L, D)

8:30am Arrive at the Cod Hole.

Familiarization with the Code Hole.
Check out dive for those who have done less than 50 dives or have not dived in the past year.
Likely Sightings include Giant Potato Cod, Moray Eel, Reef Sharks & Maori Wrasse.

Dive 2
Code Feed at the Code Hole.
Close encounters with the Famous Potato Cod!

Dive 3
Pixie’s Pinacle/ Reef/ Wall or Challenger Bay.
Likely Sightings include Lion Fish, Nudibranchs, Garden Eels & Barracuda.

Dive 4
6:30pm Night Dive at Challenger Bay.
Likely Sightings include Cuttle Fish, Sea Turtles, Reef Sharks & Manta Rays.

Thursday (B, L, D)

Likely Sightings include Giant Clams (150-200 y/o) anenome

Dive 6
10:00am Steve’s Bommie.
Likely Sightings include Red flame File Shell, Stone Fish, Wobbegong Sharks, Turtles & Thousands of schooling Anthias.

12:00/1:00pm Temple of Doom
Sightings include Flatworms & Clownfish.

Dive 8
6:30pm Beer Gardens
Sightings include Sleepy Turtles & Parrot Fish.

Friday (B, L)

6:30am Hog’s Breath
Sightings include Blue Spot Lagoon Ray & Clown Fish.

Dive 10
8:30am Split Bommie
Sightings include Octopus & various Butterfly Fish.

As you sail back to Cairns, passengers have plenty of time to rest and relax in between snacks and lunch. You arrive back to Trinity Wharf in Cairns at 3:00pm. Complimentary shuttle bus transfers to local Cairns city accommodation between 3:00pm and 4:00pm

Cancellations: The cancellation fees are as follows - travel insurance is recommended:
20% cancellation fee 30 days or more prior to departure.
50% cancellation fee if within 30 days prior to departure.
No refund if cancelled less than 14 days prior to departure.
