Can we take generators? NO GENERATORS ARE ALLOWED IN THE CAMPGROUNDS
How far apart are the campsites? THEY ARE ALL RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER
Is there a better one than the other? SOME ARE MORE ELEVATED THE OTHERS OTHERWISE THEY ARE ALL PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
Is there any privacy from one camp site to the other? NO AS IT IS AN OPEN PLAN CAMP GROUND
Can you request a certain camp site? NO FIRST IN BEST DRESSED FOR THE SITES
Can you light fires? NO FIRES IN THE CAMPGROUNDS OR ANYWHERE IN THE NATIONAL PARK
Is there lighting in the campgrounds? YES AT THE BBQ AREAS AND IN THE TOILET/SHOWER BLOCKS ONLY
Is there local discounts? NO LOCAL DISCOUNTS APPLY
How many Shower facilities? THERE ARE 4 X OUTDOOR SHOWERS – 2 X OUTSIDE THE LADIES AND 2 X OUTSIDE THE MENS 2 X INTERNAL SHOWERS - 1 X INTERNAL SHOWER INSIDE THE LADIES AND ONE INTERNAL IN THE MENS.
How many BBQ’s are there & how are they operated? THERE ARE 3 BBQS AND THEY ARE ALL ELECTRIC AND UNDER COVER
Is there a cost for the BBQ’s? NO THEY ARE FREE OF CHARGE
Are there tables and chairs? THERE ARE 4 TABLES WITH BENCH SEATING AROUND THE TABLES AND THEY ARE ALL UNDER A GAZEBO FOR SHELTER
Can we erect a Marquee? YES WITH CONSIDERATION TO OTHER CAMPERS
Can we keep Beach Hire equipment over night and what are the rates? NORMAL RATES APPLY- IF THEY WISH TO KEEP EQUIPMENT OVERNIGHT THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR TWO DAYS HIRE. IF THEY PAY FOR TWO DAYS HIRE THEN THEY RECEIVE THE THIRD DAY FREE
Are there disabled facilities? YES THERE IS ONE UNISEX DIASBLE FACILITY WITH FULL WHEELCHAIR ACCESS. THE ROOM HAS BOTH A TOILET AND SHOWER. THE TOLIET HAS RAIL AND ALL THE NECESSARY FITTINGS AND THE SHOWER IS WHEEL IN WITH A HAND HELD SHOWER ROSE.
Is there drinkable water? AT THIS STAGE NOT RECOMMENDED. TAKE ALL OF YOUR OWN WATER AND YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED ON THE FERRY FOR WATER CONTAINERS.
Are there first aid facilities? BEACH HIRE DOES HAVE A BASIC KIT DURING THE DAY OF NEEDED. SUGGEST THAT THEY TAKE THEIR OWN.
Can any food/drinks be purchased on the Island? YES. THERE IS A CONVENIENCE STORE, POOL BAR/ TAKE OUT AND A RESTAURANT.
Is there any protection in wet weather? JUST THE GAZEBO’S THAT ARE LOACTED WHERE THE TABLE/BENCHS ARE AND BBQ FACILITIES AS WELL AS A SHELTERED AREA AT THE BACK OF THE TOILET BLOCK WHERE THE SINK ARE IS LOCATED/ OTHER WISE ON ALL CAMP SITED THERE IS NO SHELTER AS IT IS OPEN PLAN.
Can we fish from the island? YES – THIS IS A YELLOW ZONE AREA SO ONE ROD PER PERSON ONLY ALLOWED. SPEAR FISHING IS NOT PERMITTED / BAIT CASTING IS OKAY/ NO FISHING FROM THE JETTY. YOU HAVE TO BRING ALL OF YOUR OWN BAIT AND TACKLE AS THERE IS NO WHERE ON THE ISLAND TO PURCHASE OR HIRE EQUIPMENT/BAIT.
Can we erect portable lights? YES WITH CONSIDERATION TO OTHER CAMPERS.
Can we take portable stoves? YES OKAY FOR TRAVEL ON THE FERRY ( THIS IS LISTED AS A LUGGAGE/FREIGHT ITEM) AND FINE AT THE CAMPSITES.
Can we book any tours over there? What are the rates? YES THE SEA KAYAKING IS $80.00 FROM THE ISLAND ALL INCLUSIVE & AN ECO WALK IS $40.00.
What are the baggage and freight restrictions? 4 ITEMS OF LUGGAGE CAN TRAVEL FREE OF CHARGE PER CAMP SITE ( WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR CARRY ON LUGGAGE OR WATER CONTAINERS) ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE CHARGED @ $5.00 PER ITEM. LUGGAGE MUST BE CHECKED IN AND TAGS WILL BE GIVEN INDICATING THEY HAVE PAID.
Can groceries be sent on the Ferry if needed? YES $5.00 WILL BE CHARGED AND THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PURCHASE AND HAVE TO CHECK IN AT THE REEF FLEET SO THAT A TAG WILL BE ISSUED AND THEN THEY TAKE THIS DOWN TO THE VESSEL. WE WILL PLACE THE CAMPERS NAME ON THE TAGS FOR THE OTHER END.

RULES & INFORMATION – • Fee must be paid directly to Fitzroy Island resort • Maximum of 7 Night stay • Maximum number of adults per site 4 or 2 adults and 3 Children • Check in time is 12.00pm • Check out time is 11.00am • No amplified music after 9.30pm • No tents, ropes or clothes lines attached to trees or rails • No clothes lines on sites. • Sites must be kept clean and tidy • No Generators • Domestic animals are not allowed on the island • No campfires • No alcohol • All rubbish must be placed in bins provided • Only 1 tent per site • No glass within the camping ground • Maximum tent size is 3m x 3m • You are reminded that all flora and fauna in the camping ground is protected • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult • No laundry facilities available •
