Port Douglas and Daintree Rainforest » Half Day Sea Kayak Tour from Cape Tribulation (#421)

Type: Tours

In Cape Tribulation, sea kayaking tours are the ultimate way to explore the reefs and rainforests along the Daintree Coast. These sea kayaking tours will show you two World Heritage Areas; the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

The sea kayaking tours depart every morning and afternoon from Cape Tribulation Beach. Wildlife spotted on these sea kayaking tours include sea turtles, sea eagles, dolphins, dugongs, sting rays, the occasional whale passing by on his way to Hervey Bay, and even the odd cassowary on the beach!

There are several lengths of sea kayaking tours to choose from, and all kayaking tours include free transfers from Cape tribulation accommodation, refreshments, and all equipment. Sea kayaking in Cape Tribulation is absolutely the most low impact eco-friendly way to see the coastline of the Daintree National Park.

Departs: Daily subject to minimum of four people and weather conditions permitting.

The Morning tour:

Departs at 8.30 AM for a 3.5 hour adventure. Take to the magical waters of Cape Tribulation Bay in a sturdy one or two person kayak and explore the unique environment of where the rainforest meets the reef. Your experienced local guide will introduce you to the Cape's amazing variety of land and marine wildlife and lead you around the magnificent Cape Tribulation headland and onto Myall Beach. After morning tea you paddle back around the Cape and fringing coral reefs, taking in the stunning views. Coconut husking awaits your return.

The Sunset tour:

This sea kayaking tour allows you to escape the heat of the day for a 2.5 hour paddle in Cape Tribulation Bay. Enjoy the solitude because at this time of the day we get the whole place to ourselves. Watch the sky light up as the sun sets behind Mt. Sorrow. There is only one place where the sunset is visible in Cape Trib and that is from the ocean, all the landlubbers miss out.
