Tour Itinerary:
All fares include meals as per itinerary code: (B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch and (D) Dinner.
Day 1 - CAIRNS TO COOKTOWN, VIA THE DAINTREE (B, L, D)
Leaving Cairns we head north along Queensland's Great Ocean Road towards Daintree, where we will join the Daintree River Cruise for an hour of exploring the wilderness where crocodiles are often found.
We then cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and make our way to the Daintree Ice Cream Company (own expense) and then onward to Cape Tribulation giving you an opportunity to explore coastal headlands and long sandy beaches stopping to enjoy lunch before we journey through the World Heritage Rainforest to Mardja Boardwalk and enjoy an interpretive walk through the rainforest.
We then engage 4WD and travel along the Bloomfield Track enjoying many scenic spots including Bloomfield Falls and Cedar Bay National park. We stop at the Lions Den Pub - another classic Aussie Icon. We then make our way to our accommodation which is the gorgeous Mungumby Homestead.
Mungumby Lodge is a boutique private wilderness retreat and nature refuge located on the northern edge of the majestic million acre Tropical Rainforest National Park (formerly the Greater Daintree) which surrounds the properties boundaries. The lodge also boarders the famous Black Mountain (Kalkajaka) a 260 million year old rock formation.

Day 2 - COOKTOWN TO MUSGRAVE VIA LAKEFIELD NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)
We start our day with a visit to Mysterious Black Mountain before arriving in Cooktown where we visit Grassy Hill Lookout, the historic cemetery, the Captain Cook Museum - this is truly an amazing place.
From Cooktown we head west to Battle Camp and onwards into Lakefield National Park. After visiting “Old Laura” homestead we travel through many fascinating river valleys and numerous giant termite mounds before arriving at Musgrave Station for an afternoon break.
We continue our journey to our overnight stay at the Musgrave Station Roadhouse. Musgrave Roadhouse offers Offering good old fashioned hospitality the Musgrave Roadhouse, located in the Cape York peninsula is owned and operated by one of the early pioneering families of the region - the Shepards.

Day 3 - MUSGRAVE TO IRON RANGE NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)
Today we continuing our adventure to one of Australia's most remote area's we head east exploring the Sir William Thompson Range and then crossing the Pascoe River, we head to Iron Range National Park.
As we enter the National Park, we see the spectacular Mount Tozer at the peak of the table range, before descending down to Lockhart River a unique aboriginal community situated on the ocean at Lloyd Bay.
Onwards further north - exploring the many wonders of the Iron Range National Park whilst enjoying the dense tropical rainforest being the largest remaining area of lowland rainforest in Australia.
We arrive at Portland Road at Cape Weymouth on the beautiful Coral Sea for our overnight stay. Enjoy a pleasant evening at Portland House Cottages.

Day 4 - IRON RANGE NATIONAL PARK TO WEIPA (B, L, D)
Leaving the east coast behind, we head inland through the National Park and onwards to more savannah land, country of the Cape and head north.
This afternoon we continue on a westward track towards the West Coast and the famous mining town of Weipa - where we arrive late afternoon. The Heritage Resort Weipa is our home for the next two nights and is located in the town centre. The Heritage Resort offers warm hospitality and friendly service with modern comfort and style.

Day 5 - WEIPA AND JARDINE NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)
Weipa located in the Gulf of Carpentaria is the largest town in the Cape York Peninsula with a population of about 3000 people. Its main industries are mining and cattle exports.
We take a stroll through the Jardine National Park to amaze your senses. We then visit the Western Cape Cultural Centre. Be impressed with the stunning and truly authentic aboriginal artwork and learn about the Aboriginal culture. Then take a stroll through the township.
After lunch we explore the port of Weipa and its amazing coastline before returning to our resort time to enjoy a relaxing late afternoon as well as the resort facilities.

Day 6 - WEIPA TO CAPE YORK (B, L, D)
Departing Weipa we head through one of the largest cattle station on the Cape - Batavia Downs. We now begin what will be one of the highlights of our tour - it’s now time to join one of the original Telegraph Tracks including crossing the famous Wenlock River, and continue further along the old track stopping for lunch beside one of the many river crossings.
Travelling further north to visit Elliot Falls and fruit bat Falls we also spend time here to enjoy a swim in the crystal waters. Lunch today will be at Fruit Bat Falls. Joining the Bamaga Development Road we arrive at the Cape's most famous river, the Jardine crossing the crocodile infested stream by ferry, then onwards to the top arriving Seisa Resort for the next two nights.

Day 7 - THURSDAY ISLAND (B, D)
A change today from 4WD travelling as we take a boat cruise across the Torres Strait to Thursday Island and enjoy a guided tour around this small island that is part of Torres Strait culture and history. The island is situated between Cape York and Australia’s nearest neighbour New Guinea. After lunch it’s time to take the ferry back to the mainland to our Resort for our last overnight stay on Cape York.

Day 8 - CAPE YORK TO CAIRNS (B, L)
The most northerly tip of the Australian continent, Cape York, is our destination. We celebrate with champagne before visiting the remains of Somerset, which was established by the Jardine Family as the Government outpost and Cattle Station. We spend some time at some secluded beaches, where we have previously sighted dugongs and sea turtles. This is a particularly scenic part of the Cape, with lots to see and do. Finally we make our way to Bamaga Airport for your scenic flight back to Cairns with unforgettable memories of Australia’s vast Cape York region. You should make arrangements to stay in Cairns tonight as the exact timing of the flight's arrival back to Cairns can not be guaranteed.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS: If cancellation occurs more than two months prior to departure a cancellation fee of $400 per person will be deducted from your refund. Cancellations occurring less than one month prior to departure will incur the following charges: 15-60 days prior 80% of Total, 14 Days or less 100% of Total Price.
