Shantara Resort & Spa Port Douglas opened its doors in September 2007 and is a small boutique resort-style complex offering up-market self-contained apartments with personalised service in a friendly and relaxed environment. Shantara is a 5 star rated holiday apartment complex with great rates!
The open tropical-styled three storey complex features classical North Queensland architecture and offers your choice of spacious studio rooms or large comfortable one bedroom self-contained apartments with either an outdoor Jacuzzi or direct pool access. 2 bedroom apartments are also available on request.
Shantara Resort & Spa is a family owned, operated and managed complex, meaning guests will be greeted with personal service and attention to detail, ensuring their holiday is comfortable and relaxed.

Hotel Studio Rooms:
Ideal for the short stay, our studio rooms are well appointed with a queen bed, kitchenette with tea/coffee facilities, bar fridge and microwave oven. The bathroom is modern and spacious with a full shower, and a comfortable balcony to relax on after a day of sightseeing. The hotel pool deck rooms provide that extra area outdoors with access to pool directly from your balcony.
One Bedroom Apartments:
Open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas with all the modern conveniences. The bedroom is separated from the living area by sliding Japanese screens, and the bathroom has a spa bath tub and a separate shower recess. Glass sliding doors open to the large and comfortably funished balcony. The 1 bedroom apartments with pool decks provide a great opportunity to slip straight into the pool from your balcony at any time during those balmy tropical nights.
Shantara Apartments:
Only 4 of our special Shantara Apartments are available so why not spoil yourself and have the best of both worlds. The balcony area opens onto a pool deck giving you direct access to the pool, while in your own private courtyard is a large jacuzzi to relax in after that long day out. Internally these apartments have all the facilities and features of the 1 bedroom apartment.

Booking Information
Child Policy: We welcome children from the age of 16 years old.
RECEPTION HOURS: Mon to Fri: 8.00am – 6.00pm / Saturday: 9.00am to 5.00pm / Sunday: 9.00am to 4.00pm. Shantara is a secured building. Arrangements are to be made prior to arrival for Guests checking in outside Reception hours.
Check In/Check Out: Check in time is from 3.00pm and check out is 11.00am.
Additional charges apply to guarantee early arrival and late departure.
Booking Policy
Cancellation fees unless otherwise arranged are as follows:
• 30 days or more before arrival - full refund less a $150 administration fee
• Between 29 - 7 days before arrival - your holding deposit or 1 nights accommodation which ever is greater
• Less than 7 days before arrival - full payment unless the apartment is relet
