Sit back relax and enjoy three wonderful days of viewing some of the world's most pristine Rainforest and coastal views that Australia has to offer. On this all inclusive hotel and meals package tour, you will travel in small groups of between 4 - 6 people. You'll spend one night in Cooktown, travelling via the Atherton Tableands, and one night in Cape Tribulation (Daintree National Park). Both nights you'll have ensuite and all meals taken care of. You'll also have an inspiring optional tour included when you get to Cooktown valued at $120! These tours differ from other Cooktown tours in that they are fully inclusive of meals, attractions and quality accommodation.
Departure Dates for 2011 and 2012: This tour departs on demand (any date) with a minimum of four and a maximum of six passengers. You can book for less than 4 passengers and you will be matched up with other passengers. Departing Cairns at 07:00am and Northern Beaches at 07:30am, returning to Cairns early afternoon on the third day.
How to book: A Deposit of $100 per adult is required to confirm your place with the balance due 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days of the travel date must be paid in full within 72 hours. Tour Itinerary:
Itinerary is subject to change if road or weather conditions require it. Your accommodation is single/ twin or double share with private bathroom facilities. Your meals that are included are all breakfasts, morning tea, light lunches and evening meals as per the itinerary below:
DAY 1 - CAIRNS TO COOKTOWN VIA WET TROPICS & ATHERTON TABLELANDS - Lunch, Dinner
After pick up from your accommodation, we ascend the Lamb Range above Cairns with amazing views over city and beyond. We arrive at Copperlode Dam and Lake Morris, Cairns water catchment area. Our exclusive permit allows us to 4WD through the rainforest and river crossings to view rare King Ferns, one of our earliest vascular plant forms dating back to 325 million years. We then visit a World Heritage Rainforest Boardwalk where you’ll view giant Strangler Fig Trees. We then head to one of Australia’s original coffee plantations - Jaques on the Atherton Tablelands for a delightful morning tea (including local coffee & scones). Visit the Mareeba Wetlands, a sanctuary for much of tropical Australia savannah and wetland wildlife and cultural heritage. Check out Bob’s Lookout before heading to Palmer River Roadhouse for lunch. Heading on towards Cooktown & mysterious Black Mountain, we climb some rugged terrain for a visit to Archer Point Lighthouse - a beacon to guide ships along the Great Barrier Reef. It’s then time for a refreshing drink (own expense) at the Lions Den Pub - another classic Aussie Icon. We then make our way to our accommodation which is the gorgeous Mungumby Homestead

DAY 2 - EXPLORE COOKTOWN - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After an early breakfast, we visit the famous "Willy Gordon Guurrbi Tour" this is truly an amazing tour. Willie’s magical Aboriginal tours are recognised as one of Australia's must-do experiences and his small business has received a host of accolades, both here and overseas. In 2007 he received the Gnunkai Best Indigenous Tour Guide Award, and in 2008 was particularly proud to be named Cook Shire’s Citizen of the year. We then head into the centre of Cooktown and enjoy a light lunch. After lunch we enjoy a town tour and head up to Grassy Hill lookout for a look at fantastic view of Cooktown and its famous "River of Gold". It’s then onto the Historic Captain James Cook Museum. It’s then time to head south towards Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest. Engaging 4WD we travel along the Bloomfield Track enjoying many scenic spots including Bloomfield Falls, Cedar Bay National Park, a boardwalk and more. After arriving at Cape Tribulation, you are free to take a walk on the beach and head up to Kulki Lookout. We then head towards our overnight accommodation.

DAY 3 - COOKTOWN TO CAIRNS/ PORT DOUGLAS VIA THE CAPTAIN COOK HIGHWAY - Breakfast, Lunch
After a leisurely breakfast, we head on towards Thornton Beach, adjacent to Queensland's third highest mountain, Thornton Peak. There’s the opportunity for an optional stop at the famous Daintree Ice Cream Company to enjoy some of their homemade tropical fruit ice creams. We then stop at Alexandra Lookout for spectacular views over the Daintree River mouth and beyond to Low isles and Snapper Island. We arrive at the famous Daintree River for our cable ferry crossing and then towards the Daintree Tea House for a special lunch at one of the Daintree region’s oldest established restaurants with a choice to try delicious Barramundi Fish (other menu items are available) and exotic tropical fruits. After lunch, enjoy a one hour cruise on the Daintree River where crocodiles and varied native bird species are spotted. This is your chance to see one of Australia’s most famous rivers through the eyes of a local, naturalist guide. Finally, we head south along the picturesque Captain Cook Highway towards Cairns with an optional stop at Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas. Your driver will drop you back to your accommodation in Cairns or Port Douglas in the early evening.

Cancellations at anytime will incur a $100 per person cancellation charge and bookings cancelled by you less than one month prior to departure will incur the following charges: 15-31 days prior, 50% of Total, 14 Days or less, 100% of Total.
