This tour is not operating until again until possibly mid 2012. The Tropical Wildlife Trail winds through one of Australia's wildlife wonders - the Atherton Tablelands, located in the Cairns hinterland. Our journey takes us to: Crater Lakes National Park, APrivate Wildlife Reserve, Curtain Fig National Park, Granite Gorge, Mareeba Wetlands and Kuranda National Park. The typical wildlife seen on the Tropical Wildlife Trail may include platypus, kangaroos and wallabies - such as tree-kangaroos and rock-wallabies, and reptiles including the frilled lizard, turtles and the occasional freshwater crocodile - as well as an enormous variety of birds including the cassowary, emu, birds of prey and water birds.

Departure Dates: This tour is not operating until again until possibly mid 2012. This tour departs everyday except for 25 December. Advance bookings are recommended. The tour includes hotel pick ups from Cairns, or Cairns Beaches hotels at between 6.45am - 7.15am and returns at between 1.30pm and 2pm. Your hotel pick up time is advised at the time of booking.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on the day of travel. Your ticket will be emailed to you shortly after we receive your booking request. We don't suggest waiting till you get here to book this tour.

Crater Lakes National Parkto see cassowary and a variety of other birds, as well as primitive musky rat-kangaroos, giant 1000 year-old trees, and a volcanic crater-lake.

APrivate Wildlife Reserveon the wild North Johnstone River to look for platypus, tree-kangaroos, birds, possums and turtles.

Curtain Fig National Park to see the ancient and gothic-looking Curtain Fig-tree.

Granite Gorgeto experience the amazing landscape and see rock-wallabies and birds.

Mareeba Wetlandsto see numerous birds including emu and water-birds, as well as the chance to see crocodiles, and to take in the beautiful outback scenery.

Kuranda National Park to see the iconic giant of the rainforest, the cassowary as well as other birds, rainforest wallabies and musky rat-kangaroos.

Cancellations at any time will incur a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 48hrs of travel could incur a 50 - 100% cancellation charge.
