Offering two hours at the Great Barrier Reef, lunch, snorkeling and a glass bottom boat tour of the coral reefs - this is the ultimate soft adventure for those wanting to see the reef from above and below the water in a half day adventure. This half day afternoon Great Barrier Reef trip flies you by helicopter at around 12.30pm, and cruises you back by boat at just after 5pm. You can also choose to fly by helicopter in both directions and be back in Cairns by 4pm.

Departure Dates: Daily except Christmas Day. 30 Jan - 21 Feb 2012 is unavailable due to maintenance. Advance bookings are recommeded as the helicopter only seats six people. It will run with a minimum of 2 people however enquiries are welcome for just one person.
Departure time from Cairns: 12.30pm. Returns at around 5.00pm. Hotel Pick up and drop off is included for hotels between Cairns and Palm Cove.

More Information:
You'll take a picturesque helicopter flight over several stunning reef locations before boarding a luxury, air-conditioned vessel at Hastings reef. Once there, you will spend the afternoon enjoying lunch and a range of underwater activities – with snorkelling equipment and a semi-submersible reef viewing tour all inclusive.
Scuba diving, either for the beginner or experienced diver is also available. Your afternoon is complete with a leisurely cruise back to Cairns featuring live entertainment, a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles.
"Scooters" are also available. The scooters are designed for snorkelers looking for a new and exciting experience on the reef. Moving at approx 8-10km/hr they make barely any noise and save the passenger’s energy levels, obviously resulting in a safe and pleasurable time in the ocean. The hire fee for the scooter is $25.00 per reef (1/2 day hire) which includes a slimline safety vest.

Booking Policy
Please advise the following when make a booking request:
The approximate body weight for each passenger. Passenger weight restrictions apply for the helicopter tour. Any passenger over 110kg will incur a $70 surcharge because there will be less seats sold on that tour.
