This Cairns Reef Cruise is one of the fastest day trips to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef, cruising at 30 knots. Passengers taking a day trip on this boat will enjoy great service, great Scuba diving and great snorkeling at two outer reef locations. This air-condiotned boat has ample space for a relaxing day and apart from the snorkelling or Scuba diving, you can enjoy a delcious BBQ style lunch at the reef.
Departure Dates: 30 Jan - 21 Feb 2012 is unavailable due to maintenance. Otherwise, This Cairns Reef Cruise departs every day except for Christmas Day from the Cairns Marina at 8.30am. Returns at 5.15pm. It is a good idea to make a booking in advance.

A 25% deposit payment is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the tour when you get on board. Cairns hotel bus transfers are an extra $10 per person. Beaches hotel bus transfers are $15 per person.

"Scooters" are now available on this cruise. The scooters are designed for snorkelers looking for a new and exciting experience on the reef. Moving at approx 8-10km/hr they make barely any noise and save the passenger’s energy levels, obviously resulting in a safe and pleasurable time in the ocean. The hire fee for the scooter is $25.00 per reef (1/2 day hire) which includes a slimline safety vest.
Novice scuba divers can join the "Introductory Scuba Diving" program which is an excellent way to see the Great Barrier Reef - with pre-dive tuition, close underwater supervision, dive recognition card and certificate included. The introductory dives generally last around 20-30 minutes each. If diving is not your thing, why not try the glass bottomed boat ride? (Included in the special offers below)
The Cairns Reef Cruise departs daily from the Cairns marina at 8.30am and takes 90 minutes to arrive at the first or two reef locations - for a combined 5 hours at the reef. Or, if this seems a bit long, for a little extra cost, why not sleep in and take a 1pm helicopter flight from the Cairns helicopter port, to join the boat in just 20 minutes - and still have 2 hours free time at the reef! Alternatively, you may want to fly back from the reef to the mainland and get back by 4pm. It's a great view from above in the helicopter and a nice way to treat yourself to something special!

Reef Fleet Terminal 1 Spence St Cairns. Extra costs for pick up and return to your accommodation in Cairns will be $10 per person or $15 per person for the Northern Beaches or $60 from Port Douglas hotels.
