One of the best days at the reef, set sail aboard this five star catamaran to Michaelmas Cay a picturesque reef island surrounded by magical coral gardens teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. The Cay is a protected seabird sanctuary playing host to over 20 000 migratory seabirds.

Departure Dates and times:  Departs daily from the Cairns marina at 8.30am,  with FREE pick up from Cairns and Cairns Beaches hotels at around 7.30am - 8.00am. Returns to Cairns marina at 5pm. Drop off times to Cairns and Beaches hotels would be at between 5.15pm - 5.45pm.

Pick up from Port Douglas hotels is available at an extra cost but it is an hour's drive each way from Port Douglas to Cairns.

This is a reef tour where almost everything has been included in the price so there is very good value packed into your ticket price. The high crew to passengers ratio also ensures a 5 Star Service is delivered to all guests.

Itinerary:

Beginning with complimentary hotel pick up, and departing from Cairns marina at 8.30am, the journey to Michaelmas Cay takes around 90 minutes. Arriving at around 10am, the day is yours to explore and enjoy a wide range of activities including snorkelling the great barrier reef, scuba diving (both certified and first time beginner available at extra cost), semi-submarine coral viewing tour, coral cay scientific tours, nature walks among the bird sanctuary, morning tea, superb buffet lunch and afternoon tea, and live musical entertainment and a glass of champagne on the homeward sail. You have approximately five hours at the reef before it is time to head back to Cairns at around 3.30pm.

Pickup or Departure Point Details:
Cairns Marlin Jetty (located within a 10 minute walk of Cairns city centre accommodation). Complimentary Cairns and Beaches hotel transfers are provided.

Optional Extras:

Regarding Scuba Diving:
Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Pregnancy and heart or lung conditions. Some other medical conditions may also be a problem. If you are unsure about any specific condition please contact us.
